Jin Young Ko wins Asia’s Major

This was a record-breaking week for Jin Young, as she has now gone 15 consecutive rounds in the 60s and had 30 consecutive rounds under par. Jin Young has also now won six of her last ten starts, this win being her 24th career victory. She birdied five of her six last holes on Sunday to finish -17, two strokes ahead of the field.

World number 1 Jin Young Ko wins ‘Asia’s Major’ in thrilling finish at Sentosa

Jin Young Ko saved her best until last at Sentosa Golf Club to win the HSBC Women’s World Championship by a two-shot margin over Minjee Lee and In Gee Chun.

Once again, the championship went down to the wire, with the World No.1 tied with fellow South Korean Jeongeun Lee6 at 16-under par as they headed to the 18th. Ice-cool under pressure, Ko birdied the last to close for 6-under par 66 and 17-under on aggregate.

Lydia Ko Captures Vare Trophy With Stellar Finish | LPGA

Also, congratulations also to Lydia Ko who won the Vare Trophy for having the low stroke average for the season. Lydia had a final round of 64 to finish T9 and record her 10th top 10 of 2021.
